Exploring the war remnants museum, Ho Chi Minh

Most of us have heard about the dreaded Vietnam war. If we want to know the war better, this is the place to be.

The War Remnants Museum is one of the most visited museums in Vietnam. It focuses on the Vietnam War showing its human, environmental, and political impact through photographs, artifacts, and real war equipment.

The museum houses galleries showcasing various aspects of the war. Outside you can see Fighter jets, Helicopters and Tanks.

There is a separate section outside for the Tiger Cages & Prison System which are Reconstruction of “tiger cages” (prison cells) Used by South Vietnamese authorities.

Tips:

  • Time needed: 1.5–2 hours
  • Not ideal for young children (graphic content)
  • Best visited in morning (less crowded)
